Okies Rock is the brainchild of Adam "Ticoman" Hernandez, who is, of course, an Okie. And a proud one, at that.
For all the brainiacs out there, yes, "Tico" is a colloquial term meaning "from Costa Rica". The son of a foreign exchange student and a purebred Okie, Ticoman is a HALF-Okie. . . busted!! Born and raised in Sapulpa - not "Sap-uh-loop-uh", but say it with me folks "Suh-pul-puh" - Ticoman loves two things. Being from Oklahoma and playing guitar. He loves his Mama too, but that's a different t-shirt company. What do you get when you mix red dirt clay and a Stratocaster? That's right, an Okie who Rocks.
Her Ladyship was born in Alabama, but at the tender age of 2-years-old was wise enough to move her family to the great state of Oklahoma.
She has lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Edmond, Norman, Owasso, and Broken Arrow. She attended OU and OSU, but make no mistake, she's Sooner! Point is, her Okieness runs pretty deep. Lady Dynamite sort of does it all - social {media} butterfly, customer service extraordinaire, inventory nazi, self-proclaimed COOO (Chief Officer of Order and Organization), overall control freak, nutrition nut, and vegan. She may be small, but she sure is feisty. Don't say we didn't warn ya.
Not everyone is lucky enough to be an Okie, but everyone can love an Okie or two… and let's be honest, Okies sure are lovable.
Voltz did not have the good fortune of being born or raised an Okie, but the stars aligned and he crossed paths with El Presidente Adam and Lady Dynamite Kacie. He's been a friend-of-the-Okie ever since. Voltz is kinda like that bad guy dude from Inspector Gadget, Dr Claw. As kids we watched the genius mastermind who kept careful watch from his evil throne, petting his creepy cat with his iron claw, and we never caught so much of glimpse of his evil face...but we always knew his was there. Yeah, Voltz is like that guy. Only, he uses his powers for good, not evil. And tons of people have seen his face. And he doesn't have a cat...or a claw for that matter. Pretty much the only similarity is the "genius mastermind" part. He's smart, y'all.
